KCUR: From the Campaign Trail to Kansas City Organizing [Radio Feature]

On January 20, 2009, KCUR published Sylvia Maria Gross’s report on people who stayed involved in local organizing after the 2008 presidential election. I was featured through my work with the Liberty Restoration Project in Kansas City.

Organizing after the election

The story followed two different political paths. Cokethea Hill had worked with Barack Obama’s campaign. My organizing grew from a group of Ron Paul supporters who continued meeting after the election.

KCUR described me welcoming people to a Liberty Restoration Project meeting at the Uptown Theater. Its report also noted our work securing Missouri’s Fifth District delegate seats at the Republican National Convention.

An early record of the work

This feature captures an early part of my public life, when campaign involvement was turning into ongoing community organizing. It was produced for KC Currents. The original KCUR page includes the story’s audio reference.
